Message II couldn't see it anywhere in your post but at any stage did you check the condition of your uni joints on the OEM driveshaft? I have replaced the centre bearing on the factory 2pc driveshaft several times and found that this has caused increased NVH from the already worn uni's that now complain when put back to their original position.

I've found the foam-filled aluminium driveshafts have been a good alternative to the 2pc design though this has mostly been on 2+2's.

Interested to hear how you go with the CF unit long term, one of the members on Aus300zx had a number of issues with their CF driveshaft repeatedly failing at the ends where it was bonded to the steel yoke, as the glue failed over time.
